Can my employer pay for or reimburse a course?

Whether your employer pays is up to your employer's professional development policy. Subthesis can't approve it for you, but it provides documents you can share with your manager.

Employer information sheets

• The Project Brain course ($1,000 on Teachable): the Employer Information Sheet (PDF) is also linked from the course page.
• The Grant Architect (free): the Employer Information Sheet (PDF) is linked from the program page. The course is free, so there's nothing to reimburse, but the sheet describes the program if your employer asks.

For The Project Brain course, there's also a professional development request letter template you can adapt.

Steps

1. Download the sheet for your course and read it.
2. Ask your manager or HR how your organization handles professional development requests.
3. If approved, buy the course the way your employer prefers. The Project Brain course is purchased on Teachable.
