Do I need an account to use Subthesis?

No. Subthesis has no accounts, sign-up forms, or logins. You can open any tool or the Research Assistant and start working right away.

How your work is saved without an account

Instead of saving to an account on a server, Subthesis saves your work in your own browser on the device you're using. That means:

• Your work stays on your device and isn't uploaded to Subthesis.
• Your work doesn't follow you to another browser or computer. To move it, use the export and import options in each tool or in the Research Assistant.

When you need an account somewhere else

Paid courses such as The AI-Augmented Doctoral Dissertation are sold and delivered on Teachable, and books are sold on Amazon. Those sites have their own accounts, which Subthesis doesn't manage.
