What is the Research Assistant?
The Research Assistant is a free workspace that walks you through a research project from start to finish. It's built for qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research.
What you can do
- Create projects. Each project has a title and a methodology: qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods. The workflow and tools adjust to the one you pick.
- Use project tools. Examples include thematic analysis, interview coding, descriptive statistics, regression analysis, power analysis, integration matrices, a project timeline, and a funding search.
- Ask the AI Advisor. The AI Advisor gives methodology guidance on topics such as study design and ethics review.
- Back up your work. Settings lets you export projects to a file and import them again.
How it's different from the free tools
The free tools each handle one task. The Research Assistant keeps a whole project together across many steps.

- It's designed for desktop and laptop screens.
