Does the Research Assistant work on a phone or tablet?

No. The Research Assistant is designed for desktop and laptop screens. If your browser window is narrower than 1024 pixels, you'll see a "Desktop Only" message instead of the app.

What you'll see

The message explains that the Research Assistant needs a larger screen, with buttons to go back to the home page or browse the blog. Your saved projects aren't affected. They're still in that browser, but you can't open them on a narrow screen.

What you can do

• Use a computer. Open the Research Assistant on a desktop or laptop.
• Widen the window. On a computer, a small window can also trigger the message. Maximize the window and it goes away.
• Try a tablet in landscape. Some large tablets are 1024 pixels wide or more in landscape, so the app may open. It's still built for a mouse and keyboard.

On your phone

The free tools and the blog don't have this screen-size limit. Remember that tool work saved on your phone stays on your phone.
