How do I export my tool results?
Each tool has its own Export buttons, usually near the top or bottom of the tool. The file downloads straight to your computer.
Export formats
The options depend on the tool:
- JSON: most tools offer an "Export to JSON" or "Export JSON" button. JSON is the best format for a full backup, because some tools can import it again later.
- Text: many tools also export a readable text version, for example "Export to Text" or "Export as formatted text."
- CSV: table-style tools, such as the Literature Review Matrix and the Data Collection Tracker, export CSV files you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Print: a few tools, such as the Consent Form Generator, have a print option. From the print window, you can usually choose "Save as PDF."
- Copy: some tools, such as the Hypothesis Generator, have a copy button that puts the result on your clipboard.
Steps
- Open the tool and finish the work you want to save.
- Choose the Export button for the format you need.
- Find the file in your browser's Downloads folder.
Exporting doesn't delete anything from the tool. Your work stays saved in the browser as before.
