Why did my tool work disappear?
Your tool work is saved only in the browser where you created it, so it can seem to disappear when something about that browser changes. Subthesis doesn't keep a copy on a server, so it can't restore lost work.
Common causes
- You cleared browsing data. Clearing cookies and site data for subthesis.com deletes the browser storage that holds your work.
- You used a private or incognito window. These windows usually erase site storage when you close them.
- You're on a different browser, profile, or device. Each one has its own separate storage.
- The tool doesn't save. A few quick calculators and selectors don't keep inputs between visits.
What to try
- Open the tool in the same browser, browser profile, and device you used before.
- Make sure you're in a normal window, not a private one.
- If you exported a JSON file earlier, use the tool's Import JSON button, if it has one, to load it back.
